Eye Exam

The importance of eye exams

In a recent survey sponsored by Bausch & Lomb, people chose clear vision as the single most important factor in good driving. So why is it that 87% of us get our cars serviced annually, while only 56% have our eyes checked by a professional each year?

A regular eye exam is the best way to protect your eyesight-- and an easy precaution to take-- as many sight-threatening diseases can be cured or slowed if caught early enough.

When to act fast

It is particularly important to have an eye exam if you notice a change in your vision. If your eye is injured in any way, you should contact your eye doctor. Your eye care practitioner may recommend more frequent eye exams if you have a family history of eye disease.
