1. Consultation

Your surgeon will discuss all available options with you. However the final decision on whether to undergo treatment lies with you.

The next step involves a series of very thorough diagnostic tests to determine whether your eyes are suitable for the treatment. Because the Zyoptix T217z 100 is specially customised, diagnostic tests are also more complex. Your surgeon will create your own exclusive treatment programme using sophisticated Iris Recognition technology .

2.Refraction

You will be tested using an eye chart to measure the required amount of refractive correction.

3.Slit-Lamp Examination

Your surgeon will use a slit-lamp to examine your eye and diagnose any problems on the front of your eye, such as corneal scars, etc.

4.Corneal Mapping

The Orbscan llz topographer provides a computerised mapping of your corneas shape. This will allow your surgeon to determine if you are suitable for LASIK.

5.Abberrometry

The Zywave System takes detailed wavefront measurements of your eye’s optical profile.

The standardised measurements for the Iris Recognition and are also taken at the same time your optical system is measured.

6.Laser Treatment

Just before the treatment is performed, local anaesthetic drops will be put into your eye.You will lie on a laser bed and your eyes will be kept open. Your surgeon will perform the treatment which will take a few minutes.

7.Post Treatment

After the treatment, your surgeon will check your treated eye and prescribe medication. You will probably receive eye shields to prevent you from rubbing your eyes while asleep.

8.After-care

Your surgeon will examine the condition of your eyes the next day. Instructions on routine care of your eyes will be provided. It is important for you to keep all scheduled appointments and to use the eyedrops as prescribed by your surgeon.
