Zyoptix Treatments
The Zyoptix system offers a wide range of treatments to suit all patient needs. The Treatment Calculator software on the Zyoptix Diagnostic Workstation produces a summary sheet that enables the surgeon to choose the treatment best suited to each patient.
All the Zyoptix treatment utilises the Multi-Use Treatment card which shapes the 2 & 1 mm beams and can be used 10 times.
Zyoptix Personalised
Zyoptix Personalised is a treatment that incorporates both wavefront and topography data to create a Wavefront guided treatment. In 2006, Bausch & Lomb launched a new algorithm for the ZDW diagnostics that extrapolates higher order data by 10%. The main benefit is that for 70% of patients, it is no longer necessary to dilate pupils to retrieve higher order aberration data. Zyoptix Personalised is available to Myopes and Hyperopes.
Zyoptix Aspheric
Zyoptix Aspheric was launched in 2006 and aims to preserve the natural asphericity of the cornea post surgery. It is based on topography data only and is unique as it factors both the Q and K values into treatment. It is suitable for Myopes with a low Higher Order Aberration measurement and pupil size larger than 6 mm.
Zyoptix Tissue Saving
Zyoptix Tissue Saving offers improvements over the older Planoscan treatments in that is saves approximately 15% tissue. It is suitable for myopes with thin corneas and those with Mixed Astigmatism.
